Panic attacks and headaches?

About 4 months ago out of the blue I started having panic attacks. I don’t know how to stop them. I tried acupuncture and chiropractor. They both seemed to make them not so severe and not as often but I can’t seem to shake them. Ok I know im not dying, I know it’s just in my head, I know that there is no reason for them. I know it’s not a big deal. But I still have them, I try to talk myself out of it and it usually works but they just scare the crap out of me. I get these really bad headaches daily. I been trying not to go on antidepressants but its starting to look like an only option. I been taking magnesium and a multivitamin for about a week, so far no relief. Any suggestions?

The best approach would be to explore with a therapist why this is happening.

i think ive been suffering from panic attacks cuz my heart keeps beating fast and i keep sweating. i also have social anxiety disorder. but my lower right and all of my abdomen has been hurting.

Yes, abdominal pain can be a symptom of a panic attack or anxiety. Your body is going into a fight or flight mode, telling you to either ‘fight’ or ‘get away from the situation’ that’s why your heart beats fast and you keep sweating. I would advice you to talk to the psychologist or psychiatrist you’ve been seeing, so he can talk to you and possibly give you medication or alter them so you can see the benefits later on down the road. hello i need help. i suffer very bad case. i have kids anxiety. i also am on antidepressants anxiety like zoloft and prozac. i want to get rid of anxiety. i take the panic attack drugs to get rid of anxiety . i suffer headaches and other side effects. i take a lot of naturally herbal remedies and drugs like pills and medicines. i also love playing rock band. palm

I am bipolar as well. I don’t take any meds. I went through years of therapy. The thing I think helped the most though was I would have people close to me in a nice way tell me when I was having attacks. This help me discover how to tell on my own when I wasn’t acting like myself or over reacting to things. Now I think before I do and realize that its just in my head. I don’t know if this helps. But it really help me allot to where I don’t need meds and panic attacks have become few and far between.

Withdrawing from Xanax and do not have anything other than Tylenol PM in the house.

Lay flat on the floor or couch with your eyes closed.

put one hand on your stomach

put the other hand on your chest

when you breathe in, make sure the hand on your chest goes up

when you breathe out, make sure the hand on your chest goes down

concentrate on your hand moving up and down, and concentrate on your heart rate decreasing as you breathe with your other hand.

breathe slowly, and deeply.

do this for 15 minutes and try not to fall asleep

this is what i used to do for my anxiety attacks as a teenager. you’ll never need xanax again. promise.
